A national specialty claims management company has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Technical Claims Manager to manage the team of claims professionals and support staff. This reputable company delivers high quality claims management, risk management and adjusting. They listen to their clients and build long-term relationships.
About the Role:
As an experienced Claims Manager, your responsibility will be to;
· Supervise and manage a team of claims professionals and support staff who specialise in Liability and Injury claims.
· Ensure outstanding operational performance to achieve SLA's and KPI's for the branch.
· Handle your own caseload of complex claims.
· Auditing the team's caseloads
· Deal with appraisals and professional development of staff.
· Coach and develop staff including one to ones.
· Monitor and minimise bad debt
· Technical responsibility which includes being the technical referral point for the branch
· Performance management
· Deal with local staffing issues, referring back to HR when necessary
· Various other duties….
Key Skills/Experience Required:
In order to be considered for the role of Claims Branch Manager, you must possess the following;
· A thorough understanding of a variety of liability claims including; Employers Liability, Public Liability, Product Liability, Professional Indemnity, Environmental Liability and Construction Liability.
· Experience of managing outsourced claims would be an advantage
· Be an effective communicator capable of dealing with all contacts ranging from insurers, brokers, solicitors, lawyers etc.
· Must be a great negotiator.
· An excellent telephone manner, great customer service skills and PC literacy
· Successful experience in coaching and mentoring a team.
