Claims Manager

Full Job Description

Working for this Chinese company, you will be responsible for managing a team of three people who adjust and settle claims for property and casualty Insurance written in the UK. The majority of business written falls into the commercial combined category, although there is a small proportion of property owners and an online medical insurance book. Your responsibilities will include:
- Ensure the operation of the department meets the criteria set by the company.
- Exercise control and management of department members and resources.
- Ensure relative high claim handling speed and reasonable loss estimation.
- Manage relationships and contracts with outsourced providers to ensure high quality service is provided to policyholders and the company.
- Provide senior management with monthly, quarterly or annual analysis of loss development, causes of loss distribution, major claims development, loss adjustment assessment etc.
- Liaise with other departments and provide feedback and improvement to internal process and policies.
- Handle complaints and work in alliance with FOS

You will have experience managing people and claims in the general insurance market. You will be very familiar with commercial combined policies, resulting claims and the most efficient way of managing and settling such claims. An additional language is not essential, however the ability to speak Chinese would be very advantageous.

A UK based Chinese Insurance company.

£40,000 - £40,000 per anum.

Where specific UK qualifications are required we will take into account overseas equivalents.
