LoanCare, a division of FNF Servicing, Inc., has an opening for a Claims Supervisor. The Claims Supervisor will coordinate and direct the daily activities of the Claims/REO Department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct the activities of the Claims/REO Department to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, investor guidelines and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
- Enhance staff performance through goal setting, training and coaching.
- Monitor all claims are filed in accordance with investor/agency/insurer requirements.
- Conduct quality review of all claims prior to submission.
- Participate in the implementation/development of procedures to increase efficiency; adjust to required changes.
- Particiapte on weekly/monthly conference calls with clients providing status of the defaulted portfolio.
- Manage eviction and property preservation needs for agency and private loans.
- Prepare response for internal QC audits.
- Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED; minimum 4 years experience in the legal field, default mortgage servicing and/or strong understanding of REO marketing, property preservation and disposition of assets; minimum 2 years supervisory experience; knowledge of accepted business practices in the mortgage industry and/or strong understanding of claims process for HUD, FHLMC, FNMA and VA.
- Typing, Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet research knowledge, 10-key calculator; knowledge of office equipment; LPS-MSP experience preferable.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written; ability to work independently; strong analytical, problem solving, research, inquisitive, interpretive and decision making skills; detail oriented; strong leadership and management skills; strong case management background, organizational and planning skills; ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines; able to work in a fast-paced environment; responsive and open to change in processes; ability to take and provide clear direction; ability to motivate and train staff; knowledge of mortgage documents and instruments.
