Role Summary:
To provide Clearvision support to all users in APAC region, specialising in support of STP systems. High level management and troubleshooting of the IT infrastructure associated with Middle Office systems.
Candidates for this position should hold the following qualifications and be able to demonstrate the following abilities to be considered as a suitable applicant. Please note that except where specified as preferred all points listed below are considered minimum requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensuring Stable architecture for clearvision
- All Issues raised related to clearvision must be handled as priority
- Installation and maintenance of Clearvision and Middle office servers in APAC (and other offices as required) – Production and DR site
- Create and keep current documentation on all Clearvision and Tradeflow processes
- Working with external clients on STP solutions
- End to end management of specific projects
- Transfer knowledge to the rest of the team (team specialist in Clearvision)
- Technology watch: follow up on the evolution of the market and evaluation of solutions
- Liaison with other branches in Europe and the US
- Some out of hours telephone support will be necessary
Other Duties or Projects:
- Initial support of incoming Application support tickets
- Resolution of Tier 1 tickets
- On-boarding new application and providing a high standard of documentation and training
- Release changes to supported systems through the Change Management process
- Special projects as assigned
- Supporting Global applications for all offices
- Provide applications support and guidance which may include service packs, upgrades and infrastructure
- Maintain appropriate levels of technical and procedural documentation
- Adhere to appropriate departmental procedures and practices (such as auditing requirements, control procedures and incident management procedures)
- Work in partnership with other departments as required ensuring correct exchange of knowledge and successful transition of developments into production
- Conduct platform monitoring and performance tuning
- Take responsibility for capacity management and platform scaling
- Work with project teams to investigate complex issues, identify and implement solutions to re-occurring problems
- Share/spread knowledge throughout the Support Team and relevant areas, from development through to support
Experience Qualifications:
- Excellent troubleshooting skills in Unix, Oracle and SQL store procedures
- Knowledge of Unix programming/scripting
- Good knowledge of SQL Server and Oracle database management systems
- Should have knowledge on complete trade life cycle
- Strong work experience on Sungard Clearvision
- Responsible for Clearvision upgrades and testing
- Knowledge of ASIA Pacific exchanges desirable
- Prefer to have exchanges knowledge globally
- Knowledge on DTS/ SSIS packages is mandatory
- Experience of Windows platforms including configuration
- Understanding of Web technology, MQ, and Client Server architecture
- The ability to work under pressure
- Client focused and support orientated
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Experience in a Financial Services environment, preferably in business support and back office applications
