The Data organisation within the Investment Bank is a critical enabler to the various business and logistics functions across the Bank, providing a central source of high quality reference data (including Client, Account, SSI, Instrument, Issuer, Pricing, Calendars) to those functions. Following a recent re-organisation, Data now combines the previously separate Data Operations and Technology groups, into a joint team with the capabilities to provide market leading “Run the Bank” and “Change the Bank” capabilities for Reference Data Across the Investment Bank.

Within Data, the “Change the Bank” team is responsible for setting the Data strategy for the Investment Bank, defining the target architecture and delivering the reference data related organisational, process and technology change across the Investment Bank globally, working closely with senior management, the business and other logistics and control areas.

The Client Data Change - Analysis Lead will manage the pool of Business Analysts within the Change function and oversee their allocation to projects, programme and initiatives across within the Data Services Group (DSG) and arising from the rest of the investment bank. The Analysis Team lead, will drive the application of best practice in analysis across the change portfolio and will manage the team to deliver market leading solutions and implementations within the investment bank. The Team Lead will also build relationships with Client Data Consumers across the Investment Bank (Risk, Finance, Collateral, Legal, Distribution, Operations) to understand their requirements for Client and Account data and structure the team to deliver against this. The role also encompasses Global functional responsibility for driving Process Excellence (PEx) and Continuous Improvement for DSG and as such the team lead will be responsible for defining and driving the structure under which the Change function can facilitate maximum benefit to the production processes and environment. The role will manage analysts aligned to numerous projects, covering end to end full project lifecycle including system specification, change, testing and implementation.
The individual must be a proven team leader and motivator with the qualities to drive the development of individuals and the team as a whole.

On-going and up-coming projects include aspects of;
System specification, system design, and system architecture
Use case analysis, class diagram modeling, user stories
Workshops for translation business needs to functional specifications

Main responsibilities will be:
• Work closely with Programme and Project managers to understand their demand for Business Analysis resource
• Allocate the resource based on maximising capacity and meeting business priorities
• Motivate and develop the team, providing knowledge and insight on industry best practice, to achieve excellence in Business Analysis and all aspects of project delivery
• Oversee the Process Excellence(PEx) efforts across DSG Globally through provision of change support and analysis capability
• Structure the PEx support provided to achieve maximum benefit for the group.
• Act as core liaison for DSG to the COO and central PEx function in the investment bank.
• Provide input into the Target Operating/Process Model for Client/Account Data
• Provide input into the Logical Data Model for Client/Account Data
• Provide input into the overall strategy and architecture for Client/Account data within the IB
• Develop and maintain a backlog / book of work of consumer requirements and proposed solutions as an input to the delivery programme
• Represent the Client Data organisation in forums across the IB
• Stakeholder management – including regular communications to senior management

Requirements
• A graduate with a good honours degree
• Proven ability to lead and develop business analysts to achieve superior results
• Experience of Client Data architectures /organisations within Investment Banks
• Proven ability to structure high level and detailed analysis, develop strategic recommendations and present findings to senior audiences
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Predominantly based in London
