Client Manager

 Key Responsibilities

Ø  Supporting Client team to ensure the successful day-to-day management of client portfolios

Ø First point of contact for a range of clients in relation to ad-hoc queries, responding to clients directly where appropriate

Ø  Supporting Senior Client Managers/Client Directors to work with clients to understand and establish their investment objectives and risk tolerance, in conjunction with the Solutions team. This includes helping to prepare and deliver training and helping to analyse the asset and liability position of the client

Ø  Preparing/Assisting with the preparation of client materials on a more ‘project’ related basis. This will cover a broad range of investment topics

Ø  Preparing/assisting with preparing and maintaining/review written profiles on short-listed investment managers

Ø  Preparing/assisting with preparing quarterly and monthly investment monitoring

Ø  Preparing/assisting with preparing compliance reports such as Statement of Investment Principles, Level II fee disclosure statements etc

Ø  Assisting with investment manager agreement negotiations

Ø  Undertaking performance attribution and other standard calculations

Ø  Working with the Operations team to ensure efficient implementation of transition decisions

Ø  Regularly attending internal investment meetings

Ø  Providing support in relation to the development of new business

Ø  Attending external client and fund manager meetings (frequency and role at meetings will depend on experience)

Ø  Providing support and acting as a mentor/role model to client analysts

Candidate Requirements

- Degree educated, FIA or CFA

- Investment Consulting experience to UK pension schemes

- Strong technical knowledge

- Strong written and oral communication skills
