Client Portfolio Manager

A DYNAMIC AND RAPIDLY GROWING PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTANCY PRACTICE FIRM BASED IN BOURNEMOUTH ARE SEEKING AN EXPERIENCED CLIENT PORTFOLIO MANAGER TO JOIN THEIR TEAM - IDEALLY QUALIFIED OR SUITABLY EXPERIENCED

A dynamic and rapidly growing, professional accountancy firm based in Bournemouth, are looking for an experienced Client Manager to join their elite team. This is a fast paced and demanding role at a senior level, where you will manage and grow upon a portfolio of 250+ clients.

The client is a technology driven firm of Accountants, specialising in the provision of accountancy, taxation and company advice to limited company contractors. They offer a bespoke on-line accounting solution, which is tailored specifically to their clients, along with delivering the highest level of service.

The ideal candidate will require a good mix of both accounting and tax knowledge coupled with 3-5 years ‘hands on’ general practical experience, ideally from within a small accountancy firm. They will be customer focused and appreciate the importance of building and developing a strong relationship with contractors. Tax plays a major part in this role; accordingly candidates should demonstrate a strong ability in VAT, PAYE, SA tax and corporation tax for small businesses and the individuals associated with them.

It is essential that the candidate is AAT qualified as a minimum, ideally being newly/part qualified at ACCA/ATT level. If they are not’t ATT qualified but have demonstrable tax experience, they will have a desire to participate in further study to gain ATT.

The successful candidate will work alongside other Client Managers in a high performing team, reporting in to the Board. The role will have responsibility for all client matters as well as an accountability to develop new business. The Client Manager will therefore demonstrate a high level of commercial awareness and have experience of client conversion and the ability to develop the portfolio they are responsible for.

In addition to the technical skills the Client Manager will possess strong administrative, time management, communication and interpersonal skills to ensure that clients receive a faultless and exemplary level of service at all times. The Client Manager will demonstrate a high level of commercial awareness and will work towards defined performance measures with KPI’s for individuals, portfolios and compliance. They will also have man management experience in order to be able to supervise other professional staff who report to them.

This role would ultimately suit an individual who is driven, ambitious and who wants to develop their career and take responsibility for their own portfolio of clients whilst gaining considerable commercial experience.
