Client Relationship Consultant / Trainer – “Cutting Edge” Equity Research Technology recruitment
Our client is an exciting and high growth technology equity research provider experiencing double digit growth this past year with the launch of a leading edge solution aimed at equity research analysts and portfolio managers within the hedge fund community. With no direct competitors this company has found a niche with a unique and compelling proposition allowing hedge funds to quickly capitalize upon stock opportunities. Following the on-boarding of some major hedge fund names this past year they are further expanding their New York office to ensure their tools become industry standard for use in stock research.
As part of this growth they are now at a stage to hire a consultant dedicated to consulting, training and managing the existing client base, and key responsibilities include:
- Building relationships with all the system users (200+ users being equity analysts, portfolio managers etc) to ensure strong, positive communication with the client base.
- Working directly with users on a regular basis you’ll understand their equity research processes and strategies, to which you can demonstrate value add by applying/demonstrating the systems “intelligent” functionality to enhance those processes and strategies. By training the users on all system functionality, you’ll ensure the product is being used to maximum effect as part of their daily research workflow.
- Act as the primary client contact to solve and respond to user problems.
- Review and further develop company / product literature such as for training.
- By proactively managing users/accounts you’ll increase awareness and product usage which will ensure client retention.
- Identify and highlight up-selling opportunities to the Sales team (but this is not a sales role with any commercial pressures).
Appropriate applicants need to be able to show:
- At least 3+ years experience in a client facing role to the buy side and/or hedge funds (dealing with equity analysts, heads of research, research analysts, portfolio analysts, portfolio managers etc). Experience and knowledge in the area of stock selection / equity research would be particularly beneficial.
- It is likely this experience will have been gained working for a financial information / market data or research vendor (i.e. Factset, Thomson Reuters, SP CapitalIQ, Bloomberg, Rimes, Morningstar type company etc), in an account executive, client trainer, client development, client support or other similar data/research/analytics client consulting type role.
- The ability to pick up solutions which are new and unique in the market.
