Client Services/ KYC Analyst
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with internal business stakeholders (e.g. relationship managers) to assist in the gathering of relevant documentation for the purposes of setting up new client accounts
- Perform KYC due diligence checks in line with AML/CTF policy requirements, including enhanced due diligence where required
- Liaise with Operations team to facilitate client account set up
- Assist the project manager with the on-going development of a client services function
- Where required, proactively participate in the review and updating of existing client files
- Plan and execute risk mitigating procedures
Skills and Experience
- Degree educated
- Minimum recent 2 years compliance experience in Corporate Banking (not retail banking)
- Alternatively, candidates with strong corporate client services skills who have a strong interest in compliance / KYC would also be suitable
- Prior experience in a corporate or investment banking AML environment would be a strong advantage
- Strong regulatory knowledge of the JMLSG and the Money Laundering Regulations would be ideal
- Broad knowledge of corporate banking and investment banking products
- Exposure to high risk customers, sanctions screening and PEPs
- Good understanding of conduct regulation
- Excellent communication skills with all levels of internal and external parties
- Ability to work independently with strong time management skills
