Description: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Handles calls in a timely and professional manner.
Maintains and updates patient records and associated schedules and/or orders.
Receives and process new referrals.
May monitor progress of patients’ needs
Conducts follow-up phone calls to patients, providers, physicians, adjustors, and any other necessary party as needed.
Promptly resolves complaints or issues independently or escalates to the proper level of authority.
Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality under requirements of federal and state law, including HIPAA, and in accordance with PMI Policy.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education, Training and/or Experience

High school diploma or equivalent; 6-12 months of customer service experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics

Must have customer service focus and be responsive to both internal and external customers.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High degree of initiative and independent judgment within prescribed guidelines.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to organize work and manage a variety of tasks simultaneously.
Strong computer skills; Microsoft Office products.
Ability to type at least 30 wpm.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

6-12 months call center experience.
Knowledge of healthcare, insurance and/or pharmacy.
Pharmacy Technician Certification for Pharmacy positions.
May require bi-lingual skills
