The Role
As a Client Settlement Risk Specialist (North Asia) will have the opportunity to look at the broader scope of credit risk analysis, monitoring of existing clients and recommending credit rating assignment of new clients. You will be working closely with various key internal and external stakeholders including Financial Institutions and Corporate across the globe. This is a regional role covering North Asia (Greater China).
You will be conducting credit risk assessments, determine and monitor risk exposure of new and existing clients based on analysis of financial statement including balance sheet structures and strategies, loan portfolios, off-balance sheet transactions, treasury strategies, and liquidity management.
Apart from actively engaging and work closely with both internal and external Senior Executives / Management to develop strategies that support business growth while addressing risk concerns, you will also be diligently monitoring all assigned clients' exposure to ensure collateral shortfalls are highlighted and rectified in a timely manner.
You will be responsible for preparing the credit risk rating reports and assign the appropriate credit rating to the clients, participate in the development of global credit policy and procedure to ensure that best practices are followed. You may be required to propose exceptions to the policy where necessary for special circumstances.
You will also need to prepare senior management reports / presentations. Minimal travelling is required.
Your Profile
You must have a good Bachelor degree preferably Accounting, Finance, Economics or Engineering. At least 5 years of relevant experience in analyzing banks / non-bank financial institutions counterparty credit risk or corporate credit risk.
It is essential to have strong experience in dealing with Financial Institutions such as Banks and large tier Corporate. You need to have good knowledge in database management tools, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Access). You are also proficient in both written and verbal communication skills in English is a must. Ability to speak and write Mandarin is a must.
You must be mature and independent with strong initiatives. You are a good team player, self motivated and adept at working collaboratively with the rest of the team globally and regionally. You must have the ability to identify issues and to assess them and finally presenting to stakeholders and management with a clear point of view.
