Advent’s Tamale RMS is a unique software solution that enables investment professionals to focus on research and investing. Our clients are analysts, portfolio managers, and traders at some of the industry's leading hedge funds, traditional asset management funds, endowments, foundations, funds of funds, and private equity firms. This position will be based out of our New York office.

Job Responsibilities
- Provide high quality and in-depth user support by efficiently resolving issues by phone, e-mail, and live online help
- Own and address client questions and technical issues from inception to resolution, including escalation when necessary, clear communication of the resolution to users, and documentation of the issue
- Monitor and maintain a global base of client servers
- Prepare and upgrade existing clients to new releases of Tamale
- Work with clients and team members to deploy new servers, with client-specific setups and data
- Contribute to the release cycle through identifying and prioritizing issues and fixes
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferred degree in technology or finance (MIS, computer science, economics, etc)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with a strong attention to detail and an ability to explain complicated issues clearly and succinctly
- Superior troubleshooting, analysis and resolution skills
- Strong customer focus; ability to manage and exceed clients’ expectations while handling multiple complex issues
- Proven aptitude to learn complex technical issues and theoretical information quickly
- Strong experience with Windows desktops and standard business software applications
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well within a team environment
The following qualifications are advantageous and preferred:
- Previous technical support or client services experience
- Prior experience with client/server applications (MS SQL, .NET, VMware, CITRIX, Linux)
- Knowledge of the financial industry and investing, particularly hedge funds, multi-managers and private equity
- Understanding of QA/testing standards, bug reporting, testing defect validation
- Experience with Exchange servers, firewalls, network administration
