Clin Applications Specialist

Epic Clinical Applications Specialist - Order Team

The Clinical Applications Specialist acts independently to provide specific training and clinical support related to the acquisition, implementation, and use of MHS' Epic applications portfolio. Applications Specialists apply specific clinical knowledge and expertise to modify and enhance system/application modules, as well as identify and implement optimal system solutions. Incumbent team members function as key liaisons for user contact and customer service on behalf of information services and are accountable for end-user satisfaction. Individuals in this job classification may also assist in the development of training materials and may participate as educators for end-users as related to specific information systems and services. Clinical Applications Specialists provide feedback and may make recommendations to management and project directors, ensuring that the organization's goals, philosophies, and objectives are optimally supported by information technology.

Minimum Requirements / Work Experience

Specific certification in Epic Procedure Orders Orders Transmittal

Knowledge of healthcare and evolving industry standards/challenges

Minimum of 2 years progressive healthcare and/or exceptional clinical IT experience, significant and successful clinical project management.

High energy levels and tolerance of tight deadlines, time pressures, and ambiguity.

Highly analytical, creative thinking and problem-solving skills.

Superior and obvious communications skills, both verbal and written.

Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, and/or licensed healthcare professional desirable.
