Hays Healthcare is proud to be working in unison with one of the UK’s leading providers of cosmetic surgery procedures. Our client has clinics nationwide and they currently have a position open for a Clinic Nurse in their Newcastle site.
Situated within glamorous premises on the Newcastle Quayside, the clinic has an experienced and friendly team already in place.
Job Summary and Responsibilities:
The role of a Clinic Nurse is a vital one, guiding often very nervous patients through life-changing cosmetic procedures. A unique setting within the Healthcare arena, daily responsibilities would include the following (a full job description can be communicated to interested candidates):
• To assess, plan, prioritise and deliver patient care requirements, both physical and psychological.
• Chaperone patients during examination by medical staff if required, ensuring that patient privacy and dignity is maintained at all times.
• In accordance with individual patient care, undertake and record patient observations.
• To sign off any results each day.
• To carry out clinical procedures as required, ensuring optimal recovery to health for the patient.
• To undertake daily required checklists.
• To support the Clinic Manager with clinical governance.
Person Specification:
This is certainly a niche role within the healthcare sector, dealing with a unique patient base. As such, whilst clinical abilities remain paramount in the role, just as important is an empathetic approach and an engaging personality. Interested applicants should also be aware of the following requirements:
• A Registered Nurse fully conversant with the NMC code of Professional Conduct.
• Ideally with 2 years post registration experience.
• Previous surgical experience essential (Cosmetic experience preferable although full training will be given)
