We're looking for a Nurse Practitioner with experience working within nursing homes to join our Chicago area team as a Clinical Advisor. The Clinical Advisor will manage a caseload while coaching and mentoring other NPs in the field. Key responsibilities of the Clinical Advisor, NP include:
- Work alongside other nurse practitioners in the field
- Plan, schedule and implement orientation plans for new NPs
- Foster the development of existing NP staff
- Coach and mentoring other NPs
- Build relationships with facility staff and physicians
- Educate NPs on the Evercare model
- Work with leadership related to developmental issues
Minimum requirements include:
- Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner licensure in Illinois.
- National certification as ANP, FNP or GNP
- Experience working with the geriatric population as a Nurse Practitioner
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to train others
- Ability to travel by car to various nursing home locations
Preferred assets include:
- Long term care experience
- Expertise in Evercare model
- Prior leadership experience
- Acute care experience
