Premier Physicians Medical Group a division of Monarch HealthCare is currently searching for a technical liaison to lead our practices as our new Practice Clinical EHR Support Specialist.  In this newly created role, you will be responsible for championing and supporting the use of NextGen in each of the practices.  You will be tasked with physician and office staff interaction, support of technical issues that arise, training and identifying continuous training opportunities and finally implementing a plan to address those training issues. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

·         Subject matter expert in the functionality of the NextGen electronic medical records and practice management software modules.  Remain current on all new releases to determine how each upgrade will impact the practice operations

·         Primary point of contact for all technical issues for reach office.  Work in tandem with our internal IT Department to ensure all escalated issues are addressed in a timely fashion

·         In collaboration with physicians and office staff; determine needs regarding business processes/workflows and functionality, make recommendations on how to achieve “best practices” as it relates to the use of NextGen and other related clinical software package(s) and standardization efforts across the organization

·         Develop and implement policies and procedures and ensure all offices are aware of changes/developments

·         Ensure effective communication to each practice that provides for efficient on-boarding, training and policy information dissemination

·         Support the practices in the goal to achieve “meaningful use” status for NextGen EMR as well as meet and maintain standards for prescribing volumes for e-Rx

 

Qualifications:

 

·         Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) or minimum 5 years of progressive management in medical practice management or electronic health records; a balanced background including both disciplines is strongly desired

·         Strong background creating training documentation, training adult learners, technical troubleshooting in an electronic practice management software or electronic medical records software package strongly preferred; previous experience with NextGen strongly desired

·         3 to 5 years experience managing a large diverse offsite staff

·         Strong understanding of medical insurance billing, medical terminology,  collections, front and back office procedures and federal and state laws governing medical billing compliance/medical practice operations strongly desired

·         Prior experience working with a electronic health records and billing system up to and including data and vendor management strongly desired

·         Previous experience preparing a department budget and sound departmental fiscal management strongly desired

·         Able to provide employee performance and skill development feedback and guidance, including performance evaluations, mentoring, performance improvement plans including terminations

·         Able to create an environment that fosters employee development, strong communication and teamwork a must!

·         Able to travel (local) to each office to offer on-site support and training
