Clinical Nurse II (RN)
Develops, implements and evaluates the plan of care for the pre and post Heart Transplant patients, pre and post Mechanical Circulatory Support (Ventricular Assist Device) patients, Pulmonary Artery Hypertension patients, and Congestive Heart Failure patients. Coordinates and collaborates with multi-disciplinary team members to facilitate integrated and comprehensive care. Possess clinical knowledge and skills to meet the competency standards. Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice. Provides leadership for the delivery of nursing care in the department. Leads safety and quality initiatives and development of the staff under the direction of the Clinical Manager.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university preferred but not required.
Experience:
Minimum of three years recent clinical experience and previous supervisory/charge experience. Excellent communication and team building skills. Demonstrates organization, work management and critical thinking skills.
Licensure:
Currently licensed to practice as an RN by the Commonwealth of Virginia or one of the qualified compact states.
Other:
ACLS and BLS. Specialty certification preferred.
