POSITION SUMMARY Director level position; responsible to develop Star pharmacy clinical programs focused on strategy levers such as formulary positioning and quality improvement programs to meet targeted intervention performance measures. Responsible to understand competitive analysis of marketed therapies using the parameters of cost metrics, patient case mix, reimbursement, distribution strategies, and others to meet Star Measurement performance targets. Create intervention programs while, supporting profitability year-over-year through various strategic positioning. Meet and exceed Star pharmacy metrics through medical policy development and implementation. Provide support, development and consultation to Medicare Part D Business, Medicare Services Operations, Care Management and Disease Management teams. Support sales, clinical program development, formulary, specialty and Medicare Part D functional areas. Development Star program specialty pharmacy programs, and compliance and educational programs. Support all MAPD and PDP Individual and Group initiatives which include sales, product, industry research and analysis, project and clinical program development, preliminary contracting, internal coordination, and implementation. Responsible for developing and leading a team of professionals in concert with business objectives and goals, management of Pharmacy Intervention Manager and Sr. Analyst. EDUCATION The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Doctor of Pharmacy. LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS Pharmacy/Registered Pharmacist is required REQUIRED SKILLS Benefits Management/Maximizing Healthcare Quality/MASTERY Finance/Delivering Profit and Performance/ADVANCED Leadership/Driving Strategic and Organizational Agility/ADVANCED DESIRED SKILLS General Business/Turning Data into Information/ADVANCED Leadership/Developing and Executing Strategy/MASTERY General Business/Maximizing Work Practices/MASTERY ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION Desired Skills Experience Must have 5+ years of Clinical Program Development/Clinical Operations Experience in Managed Care or PBM Must have 4+ years of Medicare Advantage/Part D Plan experience. Prior experience with CMS Star Ratings is highly desirable. Project Management experience required 3-5 Years experience in Pharmacy Data Analytics: Knowledge or experience in one or more areas such as: quality analytics, statistics, pharmacy and or/ PBM administration.
