Do you have a clinical and training background? If so, Hays Healthcare has an exceptional opportunity to combine these skills in a role underpinned by the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP). This job would be suitable for applicants from the following clinical backgrounds; NMC / HCPC, who also have a professional background in delivering training.
Main Purpose of Role:
Within an environment that facilitates learning and development, the Clinical Trainer will, in-line with the DWP’s professional standards, deliver training in a variety of formats both formal and informal.
A non-exhaustive list of some of the main responsibilities is listed below:
• To ensure training is consistent with professional standards.
• To assess participant’s level of physical competency in an objective manner to ensure they have met the required level.
• To assess participant’s level of Mental Health competency in an objective manner to ensure they have met the required level.
• Preparation of course delivery prior to the course commencing, including personal research and obtaining additional training resources i.e. medical forms.
• Liaise with role players in respect to feedback for each participant.
• Responsibility for ensuring Audio Visual equipment is correctly used.
• To ensure HS best practices are followed within the training environment.
• To summarise at the completion of each respective programme, each participants performance to the Medical Manager.
• To gather MCQs from distance learning products completed during the academy.
• Effectively working with Regional Managers to identify and address learning needs.
Person Specification – Essential Skills experience:
Interested applicants should please consider the following, prior to submitting their interest;
• A clinical background with at least two years post registration background (Nurse, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist)
• Experience of delivering training programmes.
• Ability to establish rapport with learners.
• Ability to support learners needs.
• To facilitate learning through presentations, exercises, activities and demonstrations.
• To facilitate learning through managing group dynamics.
• Geographical mobility.
• Prepared to be away from home to deliver training.
• Ability to give constructive feedback and convey difficult messages.
• Confidence in decision making.
• Ability to use IT and resolve basic issues.
