This position works closely with Engineering to develop various types of Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programs.
Job Responsibilities Include:
* Develops programs to inspect critical dimensions to achieve the no-straightening initiative.
* Writes programs capable of being automatically stored to the Statistical package, Data Page.
* Provides training for Wax CMM operators as well as developing and maintaining training guides.
* Designs or assists engineering in the design of fixturing.
* Responsibilities include programming, production audits, tool inspection, core dimensional inspections, and all other universal CMM issues.
* Complies with all EHS rules related to the work environment.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
* Able to comprehend and interpret detailed customer drawings and related specifications and documents.
* Demonstrated abilities in basic CMM programming along with comprehension of more advanced and complex functions.
* Basic computer experience and math skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors preferred
Working knowledge of Algebra, Calculus, Trigonometry, and Geometry as well as effective use of computer operating systems and support software.
Knowledge of basic inspection techniques and the ability to statistically analyze data.
Effective oral and written communication skills are necessary.
Programming skills preferred.
Position may be filled as a Job Grade 8-10 depending on experience and skills.
