Position Summary

The Senior CNC Analyst will work with the Catalent business community and the IT organization to provide a high availability platform for Catalent Pharma Solutions’ JD Edwards Enterprise Requirement Planning environment.  This includes the design, configuration and implementation of the development, training, validation and production environments required to support business goals and objectives. Work with the respective organizational personnel to determine required system resources, hardware and software necessary to maintain the required environments. Manage all maintenance and update activities in compliance with all Computer Systems Validation and Quality policies and procedures, ethics and security requirements.

This position can be based in our Kansas City, St. Petersburg or Somerset sites.

Key Responsibilities (90%)

 

The Senior CNC Analyst will be responsible the following:

·         Provide application and technical support to end users, interfacing directly with the business, the service center, and other IT staff to address and resolve issues and requests. 

·         Maintain day-to-day system support, database administration, server administration, security management, and package build and deployment activities.

·         Perform system administration tasks to ensure backups and scheduled jobs execute regularly.

·         Perform system performance monitoring, usage tracking analysis and trending, to understand utilization and ensure that the existing infrastructure is capable of supporting ongoing growth.

·         Communicate and consult with the business users and other application development staff and IT staff in providing bug fixes and enhancements to the existing application.

·         Plan, schedule and coordinate the monthly system maintenance activities required to tune and update all JDE related systems.

·         Ensures compliance with all Computer Systems Validation and Quality policies and procedures, ethics and security requirements.

·         Ensures designated systems comply with appropriate Legal and Fiduciary policies and practices.

 

Additional Activities Performed as Necessary (10%)

 

·         Mentors CNC team resources as assigned regarding all team activities.

·         Identify, test and install required system updates.

·         Provide support for interface and integration activities with other systems.

·         Identifies opportunities for process improvement, leveraging Operational Excellence where possible.

·         Represent Catalent at relevant industry conferences and trade shows.

·         Other tasks as assigned.

 

Education or Equivalent

 

4-year degree in MIS/Computer Science preferred.  This requirement can be met by a combination of education (4 year degree in another discipline) and relevant work experience.

 

Knowledge/Skills Requirements

 

This position requires a strong track record of successful CNC design, implementation and management of JD Edwards Enterprise One XE. Experience with later revisions is a plus.  Candidates must have good working knowledge of Sun/Solaris platforms, Windows Server 2003, Citrix, Oracle and SQL databases.  Experience and understanding of computer systems validation is required.  The resource must demonstrate the ability to work with cross functional teams consisting of contractors, IT employees and business representatives.

This resource must possess the following skills:

·         Strong leadership, negotiation, vendor management, communication, and problem solving skills.

·         Work experience in a Life Sciences environment is a plus.

·         Knowledge of DSI, Web Methods, XPI and Optio is a plus.

·         Strong interpersonal skills, including both written and verbal.

·         Proactive with the ability to function independently.
