Job Description Title: Coastal Engineer AECOM is currently seeking a Coastal Engineer to join our growing and dynamic coastal services in New York City Office. Responsibilities: Your key responsibilities as Coastal Engineer in this role will include: Perform coastal numerical modeling and analysis activities including wave, hydrodynamic (including storm surge), sediment transport process, and water quality, etc. Participate in the coastal structure design activities including breakwater, shore protection measures; Support our multidisciplinary projects (primary as marine and harbor design work such as dynamic mooring analysis, ship simulation, etc); and Participate in the report / proposal preparation, interaction with other disciplines. Requirements: A BS or MS degree (with an emphasis in coastal, ocean, or marine engineering or science); 5 years experience in coastal numerical modeling and coastal engineering (consulting environment preferred); Excellent knowledge of coastal processes and numerical modeling including software from DHI and the U.S. Army corps of engineers; Ability to work within a team environment with minimum supervision; Good communication and reporting skills; and Willing to work hard to meet the project deadline if needed.
