Collateral Fixed Income New Business Analyst recruitment

Bank of America are seeking a New Business Analyst to join them within their Collateral team, specifically concentrating on fixed income.

Collateral Management is responsible for mitigating credit risk to the Firm by ensuring OTC Derivative transaction exposure is fully collateralised against counterparties in accordance with executed legal documentation.

The candidate will be responsible for performing daily analysis and control functions within Collateral Management New Business / Middle Office team covering OTC Derivative products.

This includes ensuring all functions performed follow policy and procedure and all control standards are met to ensure a high standard of control is maintained and client service is provided to clients at all times.

The New Business team plays a key role in the continued success of this business at Bank of America Merrill Lynch including supporting the continued business growth, managing the control environment and reducing risk, increasing efficiencies and strengthening relationships with our internal and external clients.

The New Business team is responsible for supporting business across all derivative products. These cover all asset classes (primary and derivative) including credit, rates, inflation, and equity. Products traded include IRS, Swaptions, CDS, Index, Structured Credit, Inflation Swaps, TRS (on a variety of underlyings), FX variance and Equity.

This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the investment management and hedge fund business as well as derivative products and lifecycle management

Key responsibilities

• Liaison with Credit, Tax, Legal  and Business for negotiation of CSA legal agreements

• Profiling, checking agreements  and setting up of accounts once activated

• Work with Credit traders on controls around Independent Amounts

• Interaction with PB team on overlapping clients

• Daily management of various Data Integrity trades, mark to market, bookings

• Drive strong process and control regarding managing daily functions, supporting    business growth and implementing continual process improvements

• Building strong relationships and partner with Business, Legal, Credit, Tax MO teams

• Work with management team to drive contribute to global agenda for the New Business function  Operating Model

• Develop appropriate metrics and control framework to manage and report

• Actively contribute to global agenda and any firm-wide initiatives

• Escalate priority exceptions/issues to management
