Collections Senior Manager
Job Description
The role is responsible for the Collections and Recovery departments and is required to manage the delinquency rate on all business lines and the charged off units in line with budgeting. This comprises all operative tasks such as arrears resolution, recovery preparation and recovery which eventually leads to the objective of a reduced delinquency rate and an optimized non-earning asset rate. In addition, the Collections Manager is also responsible for the steering of internal and external collections service providers such as lawyers and 3rd party collections firms. Main accountable responsibilities are:
- Achievement of Collections and Recovery Targets including customer satisfaction
- Sustainability of process performance
- Implementation and monitoring of Global KPI’s and meeting agreed targets
- Ensure alignment of Collections area with the Corporation Process map, in-house activity model and landscape model
- Drive process orientation in the Collections and Recoveries area. Financial Reporting of arrears accounts generated and submitted and relevant delinquency and legal budgets and provisions
- Lead a team of Collections and Recovery Associate with an overall goal of mitigating credit risk and associated credit losses.
The Successful Applicant
- Good understanding of company guidelines, risk and legal compliance
- Good understanding of current Legislation.
- High level of retail finance and /or vehicle finance industry knowledge and awareness.
- Highly developed interpersonal, team management and motivation skills.
- Ability to work calmly under sustained pressure.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Statistical and analytical skills.
- Strong Networking skills
- Strong Provider Management and Governance skills
- Fluent English
