Commercial Advisor

The chosen candidate will be expected to work closely with the other departments (finance, legal, exploration, operations and economics), so strong communication and team works skills are essential.
Job Description:
- Will be expected to provide a full range of commercial support in all matters pertaining to the company’s exploration interests and non-operated fields.
- Day-to-day administration of existing contractual/regulatory arrangements.
- Supporting the Senior Commercial Advisor in negotiating new agreements, generating commercial breakthrough solutions.
- Ensure that agreements capture value and address risks.
- Frequent discussion with joint venture partners.
Experience/Education required:
- A relevant degree in either engineering or business related subject.
- Oil experience in a predominantly commercial/business development environment.
- Strong understanding of the oil industry.
- Strong software skills
- Previous exposure to contractual/negotiation experience related to the North Sea is very important to this role
- Proven track record of commercial negotiations (ideally in the UKCS region)
- Strong communication skills.
- Driven and passionate about the upstream oil sector.
- Strong relationship skills.
