Commercial Finance Analyst for Global Retailer

This is an exceptional opportunity to work with one of the worlds’ leading FMCG / retail brands in a highly commercial role. This international company holds the licences for numerous household and luxury brands and distribute across almost every country in the world. They have been strengthening their market share through acquisitions and also organic growth and looking to continue their international expansion over the next few years.

In order to support this growth plan my client needs to appoint a commercially astute financial contractor for a minimum of six months. This person will be responsible for supporting the commercial team across their Middle East business, which is one of the most important areas by profit for the client. They will be an integral part of the commercial team and will have to use their strong communication and influencing skills to drive the performance of the division through their commercial finance skills.

The successful candidate will take ownership for the full profit and loss for the business, ensuing that the financial performance and key issues are reported efficiently and effectively to the senior commercial leadership team. They will be supporting the financial planning for the team and helping the team to make better business decisions by providing detailed financial analysis and insight.

The ideal candidate for this role will be an experienced finance professional with a background working in fast paced FMCG / Manufacturing or retail sectors. They will be able to manage a full PL, have exceptional analytical skills, be able to support the financial planning process and critically be able to relay key financial messages to the business. A strong proficiency in Excel and ideally experience of SAP is also required.
