Role Summary/Purpose
The Commercial Leader demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives related to ITO contract management for thermal power generation equipment for Germany within the Commercial Operations organization.
Essential Responsibilities
The Commercial Leader integrates and develops processes that meet business needs across the organization, is involved in long-term planning, contributes to the overall business strategy and manages complex deals within the assigned region coordinating with the different functional stakeholders.
• Build, prepare and negotiate commercial offers (to include the preparation of terms and conditions and internal costing information) following on from the receipt of customer RFQ’s;
• Coordinate with Legal, Commercial Finance, Risk and Engineering functions to build the offer;
• Present the summary of the offer to the Risk Review committee in order to obtain approval to present to the customer;
• Present the offer to the customer;
• Take responsibility for drafting and negotiating the commercial and technical terms (this will include close coordination with Sales, Technical Operations and other departments);
• Manage the release of signed contracts to the Project Management and Parts Maintenance teams.
• Business travel will be required mainly within Germany and Europe.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Commercial or engineering background• Engineering, business, technical (or equivalent) degree; OR relevant experience within the energy industry.• Experience in negotiating terms and conditions • Enthusiasm for technology• Fluency in german and english language• Commercial and negotiation skills• Strong Communication skills• Leadership skills in cross-functional teams within a matrix environment• Business acumen • Customer oriented• Process driven
