Commercial Manager

A Commercial Manager – Vendor Strategy is required by a leading global service provider to take responsibility for the Go To Market process and acquisition of new vendor services that support the IT service portfolio.

 

You will identify, prioritize and execute service initiatives aligned to Service and Supplier roadmaps and support the development of financial business cases that support selected initiatives. You will provide input to establish criteria for evaluating vendors, support the selection process and drive implementation of these criteria. You will also identify and manage potential risks identified within sourcing arrangements, service (and operating) level agreements, and support the development of commercial models and pricing structures. In addition you will develop and agree internally with key stakeholders the acceptable business terms and negotiate these with vendors. Upon successful negotiation of agreements with vendors, perform smooth handover to Transition and Service Operation Owner as well as the supporting Commercial Management groups. You will also manage the Global Outsource Policy approval process ensuring the initiative is appropriately signed off before contract signature. Finally, you will need to understand suppliers’ strategy and translate this into the development of service portfolio strategies and contribute to vendor selection strategy.

Of graduate calibre (or equivalent), you will have extensive experience either in vendor sourcing for IT services including Desktop, Infrastructure and / or Application Support within a complex business environment or in the provision of such services with an outsourced service provider. Whatever your background you must have a proven track record of negotiating commercial agreements for IT service provision and experience of business case or bid preparation. A confident nature and exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills are essential.
