Commercial Manager – Major Contracting Firm – HAMPSHIRE recruitment
Reporting to a Senior Commercial Manager (Financial), UK Europe, to deliver a full commercial service to bids and to participate in effective management of commercial risk across the contract base, in order to ensure that commercial leadership and financial modelling best practice is applied to bids and post-contract management.
Strategy and Plans
• Play a role in ensuring compliance across the business
• Assist in the development and implementation of Divisional commercial policy, process and systems as required
Growth and Financials
• Act as the commercial lead within bid teams, or as part of a commercial team on large bids, to develop commercial positions which optimally balance the division’s exposure to commercial risk with its appetite to win
• Deliver accurate financial and commercial information to senior colleagues to enable optimal decision-making
• Provide commercial challenge to bids, as required
• Support the contract base in delivering organic growth and managing commercial risk, as required
Organisation and People
• Provide leadership and management to junior members of the commercial team, when allocated to the same project
• Maintain expertise in financial reporting requirements, relevant legislation, and public policy
• Educate and train other members of the commercial team and the wider FC community
