Commercial & Retail Analyst

My client, a leading cosmetic brand are currently seeking to recruit a Commercial Analyst for their busy finance team based in London’s West End.

This is an exciting opportunity for a part-qualified accountant to drive business critical reporting and analysis across both the Retail and Commercial finance functions.

The candidate should have strong IT systems experience, in particular, using Access for report generation and queries. They should also be an advanced user of Excel and have excellent analytical and communication skills, which will enable them to work with internal customers at all levels of the business.

Responsibilities:

· KPI Reporting: Retail reporting and analysis for the business in the UK and Ireland.

· Weekly Retail Reporting: Retail reports generated by retailer sales data and the field sales team. Reports are distributed to Field sales team and Head Office and are used to measure the success of our brands against competitors in the retail environment.

· Daily Sales ticket: Reporting to the business on daily sales movements.

· Commissions Process: work with beauty consultants in order to calculate commissions payable each month based on sales achieved. There is an opportunity to move this process to a third party so the candidate may have to work with HR to instigate this process.

· Actualisation of monthly performance in the sales’ teams trackers

· Promotional and New Launch Trackers: Creating and distributing promotional and new launch trackers on a weekly basis which track sales performance at retail level against targets.

· Flagship door ranking: Benchmarking the sales of flagship doors in UK for consolidation at global level.

· Sku Analysis Database: Updating a database using Access which gives Sales and Marketing teams visibility of 3 year retail performance at brand level.

· Discount database: Updating the discount database which gives visibility of historic discounts given to retailers enabling the sales teams to have better clarity for future decision making.
