Commercial/Specialty Insurance Technical Underwriter recruitment
Our client, a global industry leader in specialty/commercial insurance, located in North Toronto, is expanding!
In keeping with continued growth and development, this organization has created a new role in the capacity of Commercial/Specialty Insurance Technical Underwriter. This specialized Technical Underwriter will report to the President and VOP of Underwriting, with access to global internal network as the incumbent continues to build and evolve the role for the Canadian market.
Specific areas of responsibility involved for the Commercial/Specialty Insurance Technical Underwriter will include technical underwriting and policy wording (update, create manage and maintain guidelines); functioning as a go-to SME (Subject Matter Expert) providing guidance training and assistance to underwriting team (and actually doing underwriting as needed); providing compliance reviews, rating levels, and applicable reporting; managing client and broker relationships; managing and monitoring quality assurance, (etc).
Qualifications:
As a strong candidate for this dynamic role, you are a qualified Insurance specialist (CIP, FCIP) with relevant progressive policy wording/technical underwriting experience within commercial/casualty/ specialty insurance with demonstrated relationship management, communication, and interpersonal skills. Your proven ability to act as a go to coach/resource, along with your business savvy and innovative thinking and results orientation, makes this a win/win!
