Commodities Compliance Officer recruitment

Major Responsibilities

• Design, enhance and implement effective compliance policies/procedures and monitoring controls in support of expanding trading activities

• Develop, build, and manage the compliance program to ensure the firm complies with applicable regulations, including Commodity Exchange Act, Dodd-Frank Act and CFTC regulations

• Monitor and report on proposed, current and amended regulatory developments in the United States, Europe and Asia

• Liaises with partners in New York and London to assess the business and compliance impact of regulatory changes

• Review and monitor trading desks to identify and mitigate risk within the trading operation procedures

• Provide advice and respond to inquiries from business partners 

• Act as liaison to regulators to produce documentation of the company's compliance program.

• Provide training on rules and regulations, internal policies and best practices

Education and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree

• At least 4 years of relevant compliance experience in commodity or energy trading industry

• Demonstrate a strong expertise and understanding of laws, regulations and issues relevant to commodity products, OTC derivatives, and swaps

• Experience dealing with audits and other requests from regulatory bodies

• Must be a team player and possess the skills necessary to build and maintain strong client relationships with front office 

• Superior interpersonal and communication skills

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and writing skills
