Commodities (Metals) Operations Manager

Roles currently undertaken within the team relate to the daily validation, confirmation and queries related to trades executed by the Fixed Income Currencies Commodities Division (FICC).

The successful candidate will have responsibility for;

*The management of the drafting team responsible for the manual drafting of all commodity products as required.

*Working with Sydney to enable a full Ag support service to be offered in London and to improve the service delivery to clients.

*Supervise and develop the team members.

*Coordinating and developing documentation standards for confirmation templates relating to all areas of FICC, particularly those governed by ISDA.

*Coordinate and maintain Procedure Manuals and any Daily Tasks List for the team in line with Trade Support and MOD objectives on this matter. Ensure all team members understand these procedures and adhere to them.

*Assistance on other ad hoc Operations tasks as required.

To be successful in the role you will have:

*Strong Metals experience and preferably Emissions, Utilities, Agriculture and Bonds knowledge.

*Excellent management experience - holidays, guidance, appraisals, etc.

*Strong Front-to-Back operations knowledge preferably from another Investment Bank.

*A good understanding of ISDA documentations and definitions.

*Proven leadership abilities.

*Understand the importance of controls procedures within the Operations Division.

*Knowledge of Back Office operations and how we interact with other areas of the Bank.

*Enjoy working in a team environment.

*A high standard of attention to detail.

*Ability to work well under pressure in a high paced environment.

*Be able to work in a methodical manner and accept accountability and ownership of tasks.

*Good organisational, communication and prioritisation skills.

*Excellent PC skills with good understanding of MS Word Excel.

*Be flexible to cover staff absences, busy trading periods and work public holidays as required.
