Commodities Software Developer – C++/Strong Mathematical Background recruitment
My client is a highly prestigious financial institution who is currently seeking self-motivated technologists within their commodities team. The team is responsible for providing market data relating to the European Power and Gas sector with a specific focus on pricing/valuation models.
The successful candidate will be an extremely competent C++ Software Developer with a strong mathematical background. This person will be:
- Able to work on the full development lifecycle, (from requirements through to deployment)
- Contribute ideas on how to improve and define the project
- Understand the mathematical models developed within the group.
The main technical requirements include:
- Strong C/C++ Development expertise in a UNIX/Linux environment.
- Degree in Computer Science / Engineering / Mathematics or equivalent
- Professional experience with Object-Oriented Design and systems/application programming
- Analytical / problem solving skills.
- Multi-threading
Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience within the commodities industry and will have done some mathematical modelling in the past. This is not a pre-requisite but candidates with this experience will have a distinct advantage.
