Commodities Trade Controller (Oil) recruitment

The Trade Controller is responsible for operation of key trading controls and provision of management information detailing trading performance.

Responsibilities Accountabilities

Back-up for Existing Analysts

• Calculating and reporting daily exposure and profit and loss for the use of traders and management

• Analysing the daily exposure and PL movements and discussing with traders and management

• Independently assessing PL performance and writing daily control commentary explaining performance

• Monitoring and ensuring compliance with control policies, standards and Ineos trading authority limits

• Reconciling (min. monthly) physical stock to trading position

• Providing an independent check of market valuation

• Assisting in the resolution of financial closing issues

• Calculating the monthly commercial performance results and preparing the monthly commercial performance presentation for management

• Calculating the daily “cost of carry” PL measuring trader balance sheet usage

• Delivering  the weekly cash forecast for derivatives

Skills Knowledge Required

• Product Control experience in a commodities environment is essential

• Oil industry experience is highly desirable

• Accounting background (will consider non-qualified, PQ and qualified depending on experience)
