Commodities Trade Finance Analyst
The successful candidate will oversee my client’s trade finance management, actively support their new power and gas business and be a senior in a successful team.
Role responsibilities will include:
- Liaising and coordinating with various parties and resolving issues regarding L/Cs
- Negotiating in L/C TCs with counterparties
- Checking L/C terms against UCP to ensure all workability issues are clear
- Arranging full range of trade finance documentation and processing
- Issuance of Bank Guarantees, bid performance bonds for purchase and sales
- Negotiating Letters of Credits issue/ discount rates, counterparty cover and banks confirmations fees
- Ensuring sufficient credit facilities and reasonable bank charges; negotiating Facilities documentations with various banks
- Arranging trade related payments and Trade loans (Discounting / Re-financing)
- Preparating invoices and documents for the payments
- Liaising with contract team regarding contractual payment terms of trades
- Processing of the cargo and other payments
- Recommending/implementing/maintaining trade finance policies and processes including Power and Gas Trade Finance activities.
The ideal candidate will be/have:
- Strong trade finance experience (circa 4 years+) within a commodities trading house or similar
- Good commodities market (power, gas, LNG, oil etc...) experience
- Strong knowledge of UCP600/ ISBP681/ ICC522
- Knowledge of European banking process and procedures desirable
