The Commodity Manager’s will be responsible for the development of strategic relationships with key suppliers and ensuring current and future performance meets expectations.
Will work closely with both strategic operational teams to identify, develop and deliver effective commodity strategies which will support the future needs of the company.
Will develop method for effective ongoing performance measurement and communication process with key suppliers and support operational teams with resolution of performance issues.

Principle Duties
The Commodities Manager will be part of a highly skilled integrated Supply Chain team working together to achieve target Cost, Quality Delivery performance.

As a Commodity Manager you will be responsible for the overall management of your selected suppliers. You will demonstrate clear leadership qualities in the building of long term cradle to grave relationships with your suppliers.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective communications with key suppliers.
Responsible for the development and deployment for effective commodity strategies taking account of long term strategic business objectives.

Responsible for alignment and management of the company’s supplier key measures of performance.

Development of risk analysis and risk mitigation tools which include long term stability of key suppliers

Develop Long Term Supplier Agreements/Price Agreements which support year on year QCD improvements.

Work with internal external stakeholders to develop more effective Supply Chain Management processes.

Understand and take advantage of new technologies in Manufacturing and Product and work closely with Engineering/Sales of development of NPI processes.

Actively promote supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives which support ongoing supply chain performance improvement.

Perform on-site supplier reviews and assessments.

Coordinate activities with other company business units to maximize negotiation leverage.

Essential Skills/Knowledge/Experience

Exceptional interpersonal skills
Computer literacy including; Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint Word appropriate ERP Systems

A capable analyst

Minimum of 3 years experience within an appropriate Purchasing/Supply Chain position

Experience within Aerospace or other High Technology industry would be an asset

Skilled negotiator with ability to formulate supply contracts which support business requirements

Focused, committed with ability to work with minimal supervision

Project Management / Capable of driving issues through to completion

Anticipated Travel (National International 30 – 40%)
