Commodity Trade Finance Relationship Manager, Asian Investment Bank, London
An excellent and entrepreneurial position has arisen for a Commodity Trade Finance Relationship Manager to join a leading Asian Bank in London. This role requires someone with a strong background in the commercial / corporate banking space with a good familiarity of working with large clients active in the International Commodity Trading space.
The role:
- Working in an RM / Origination position, you will work alongside the Team Head to identify, target, develop and manage banking relationships in the UK and Mainland Europe with trading segments such as mining, steel, energy and oil majors for trade and working capital requirements.
- You will have responsibility for marketing and delivering the Bank’s product suite with a focus on transactional trade, structured trade finance, cash management and working capital products.
- Though this role is origination focused, you are expected to have good experience writing credit proposals, dealing with full financial analysis, completing and negotiating all related documentation and also handling the smooth-running of the day-to-day management of the transactions.
Requirements:
- You are expected to have a large network/ portfolio of existing clients in the commodity trading space in the UK and Mainland Europe. Candidates must have a proven track record in the origination of new business/ relationships.
- Is essential to have an excellent knowledge of bi-lateral trade finance/ global markets/ syndicated loan facilities.
- Selling / Negotiating / Networking / Pricing / relationship management skills
- Knowledge of Trade regulations like ICC, UCPDC, URDG, etc.
- Candidates must be ambitious and pro-active – you will have key growth targets and should be able to clearly demonstrate how they will be able to increase the revenues for this portfolio.
