Role summary:
Report to the APAC Head of Metals, the Commodity Trader will be responsible for developing new execution and clearing revenue opportunities. Fluent in English and Mandarin is necessary.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new execution and clearing revenue opportunities
- Execute and service the clients business
- Risk monitoring role for the desk clients
- Provide customers and Newedge Group employees with market information, commentary, strategic market overview, trading suggestions and trade timing assistance and back office accountability.
- Work in partnership with management to develop new execution, clearing and cross marketing opportunities and bring these opportunities to revenue earning
- Develop new clearing and/or execution prospects
- Monitor the clients risk parameters on daily basis and report the possible risks to the management
- To improve whenever possible the competence of clients in their market knowledge, rules and regulations and use of on-line systems.
- And other duties or projects, as required.
Requirements:
- University degree holder or equivalent
- Good communication skills and able to speak fluent English and Mandarin
- Fully understand the mechanics and vocabulary of the LME and other markets required.
- Technical knowledge of futures trading, preferably with exposure to China market
- Meets professional and regulatory standards
