Communications Manager, Cerner National Laboratory Program Job Summary Named to the Computerworld Top 100 Best Places to Work, the Kaiser Permanente Information Technology (IT) organization is the team of more than 5,000 people who manage IT for Kaiser Permanente, one of the nation's largest not-for-profit health plans, serving more than 8.9 million members nationwide. The Cerner National Laboratory Program (Cerner Lab) is a large-scale, multi-year initiative that is transforming Kaiser Permanente's multiple laboratory systems to a single, unified system. The communications manager for Cerner Lab is responsible for creating and implementing communication strategies in support of this initiative, primarily to internal audiences, and works in partnership with Cerner Lab leadership, the Care Delivery Business Information Officer (BIO) and staff, and IT Communications. The manager is responsible for stakeholder analysis and communications plans - including goals, strategies, and tactics - and managing all activities associated with carrying out these plans. The manager also has responsibility for ensuring that all of these communications activities appropriately reflect the Kaiser Permanente brand and message platforms. Essential Functions Responsibilities include but may not be limited to: Strategize with IT Communications, Cerner Lab leadership, and others to identify communication priorities, research stakeholders and audiences, develop communication plans, write communication materials, prepare presentations, and manage an overall communication program to fulfill the goals and objectives of the Cerner Lab program. Provide communications consulting to Cerner Lab leadership on internal communications. Consulting activity will vary from verbal advice on communications issues to customized communications plans and materials. Lead teams that are implementing specific communications projects associated with the Cerner Lab program. Create consistent and compelling positioning, messaging, and tactics consistent with the Kaiser Permanente brand. Serve as primary content creator for Cerner Lab program communications with direction from Cerner Lab leadership and IT Communications. Requirements
