The Role: Compliance Officer
The Compliance Officer is a wide ranging position. This role gives the successful candidate a chance to make it their own, so it does require the individual to be self-sufficient and a self-starter. Although they will be part of the overall Regulatory Compliance team, they will be required to work on individual tasks of a complex and technical nature.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for the ongoing maintenance and up to date listing of universe of Prudential obligations.
- Act as secretary to the Regulatory Compliance Committee including preparation of papers in relation to Prudential supervision changes.
- Represent the business on relevant industry bodies such as IBF and work closely with the Head of Regulatory Reporting to ensure the business is compliant with its reporting obligations.
Key Skills Competencies:
- Third level degree and professional qualification is essential e.g. Solicitor, Accountant and LCOI desirable.
- Detailed experience and understanding of the role and impact of various Regulatory bodies at National and European level.
- Experience of dealing and working closely with the Financial Regulator and other regulators.
- Capacity to work autonomously and the ability to influence others (peers, senior management).
