Our client is a leading company in the financial sector, looking for an Essential Banker to join the team in Dundee. You will be required to work Monday-Friday 9am - 5pm. The role involves all customer facing activities.

With the introduction of the self-assisted counters and new technology, our client is looking for Community Bankers who will not be behind counters, but will be visible on the floor. You will also be proactive in assisting all customers with their transaction by offering solutions to make the customer journey as smooth as possible.

You will be expected to:
• Delight the customer by offering professional, caring, consistent and outstanding levels of customer service. Build trust by engaging in conversations and actively listening to customers to be able to anticipate and meet the servicing needs of all customers
• Strive to exceed customer expectations and be empowered to deal with customer requests at first point of contact, only handing off where this adds value in the eyes of the customer
• Create exceptional customer experiences for everyday queries and complaint handling by taking responsibility and using all resources to proactively intercept and address customer issues efficiently and effectively. Know where to go for support if they cannot be resolved immediately.
• Demonstrate a strong level of competence in our digital products, enabling you to proactively educate your customers to have confidence in consistently using alternative channels of their choice, at times to suit them.
• Emotionally connect with customers and work with colleagues in a collaborative way to deliver a consistently exceptional and seamless customer experience.
• Act with honesty and integrity. Work with colleagues to create a respectful and motivating environment to attract, inspire and develop colleagues who share our purpose and values.
• Be proactive, visible and engaging. Provide effective banking hall coordination and assist customers with their essential everyday needs, providing everyday banking solutions where appropriate.
• Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, internal Operational Risk Framework and internal Policies and Standards
• Be confident in using technology and keep knowledge up to date on products and services across banking. Complete all appropriate mandatory and regulatory training

Requirements
• Excellent customer service skills
• Experience in a customer-facing role
• Basic knowledge of current technology
• Comfortable using various forms of current technology and digital processes, or willing to learn

Training
All staff will be provided with the same level of training. This will last about 6 weeks and will be delivered whilst working in the job.

This is a full time position initially on a fixed term contract with the potential to be extended. Shifts will be Monday to Friday, 9 til 5 at a rate of £9.27/hour.
