Company Accountant
A London Market Insurance company based in Central London currently requires a Company Accountant, reporting directly to a Financial Controller, responsible for:
Producing monthly and annual financial accounts
Maintaining control of all balance sheet accounts and accruals
Producing working capital reports and budgets
Reviewing and assessing accuracy of cost standards ensuring they reflect current and changing trading activity, identifying anomalies
Using initiative, control all cost discrepancies within preview, ensuring all cost recoveries are made where required
Assume daily staff supervisory responsibilities for one assistant
The Company Accountant role requires a high level of responsibility, accounting technique, initiative and independent thought. The role will require the successful candidate to be both proactive and reactive. The successful candidate will ideally be a qualified accountant with proven accounting experience gained in the Insurance sector
