About the role
You will have primary responsibility for the co-ordination of Macquarie's Board Committees as well as assisting the Board and Board Committee Secretaries with related corporate governance. You will draft Board and Board Committee reports and work with key stakeholders within the organisation who are responsible for Board reporting. A key requirement of the role is to ensure that reporting deadlines are met, compliance processes are adhered to and accurate corporate governance information maintained.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Working as part of a team responsible for Macquarie's Board Committee meeting processes as well as the provision of related support for Macquarie Board members and Board Committee Secretaries
- Drafting corporate governance Board and Board Committee reports, review of meeting papers and co-ordinating Board Committee reporting to meet deadlines
- Conducting verification of corporate governance information
- Involvement in group wide projects within the Division, including Macquarie's Annual General Meeting, as required
About you
To be successful, you will have a strong client service focus given the central role of the Company Secretarial Division within the organisation and the broad range of stakeholders. You will also have:
- A Business/Commerce/Company Secretary or Law degree with demonstrated success in a professional company secretarial or regulatory compliance team
- The drive and focus to deliver within tight timeframes, ensuring quality output and demonstrating excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively to meet tight deadlines
- Intermediate Microsoft Word Excel skills essential and experience with electronic board paper distribution desirable
- Exceptional time management skills together with the ability to prioritise deliverables
About Us
The Company Secretarial Division is part of the Legal Governance Group, a Central Group within Macquarie. The Division has responsibility for providing services to the Board, the Board Committees and the Executive Committee, as well as for administering the Group's subsidiaries, ASX listing rule compliance, employee equity schemes, professional risk and general insurances and Group-wide corporate governance matters.
