Compensation Analyst recruitment
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze bi-weekly and off-cycle compensation related payroll transactions.
- Perform financial modeling to calculate the current and future financial impact of payroll, payroll taxes and benefits.
- Assist with year-end compensation planning, including incentive payment review.
- Participate in compensation surveys, interpret data and perform analysis to ensure competitive positioning within the marketplace.
- Assist with month-end general ledger close including journal entry preparation and account analysis for payroll/benefits related accounts.
- Conduct ad-hoc research and analysis on compensation issues, policies and practices.
- Liaise with auditors, finance and tax departments supporting the compensation/benefits function.
- Reconcile transportation benefit programs and parking subsidies.
- Maintain detailed work papers supporting project analysis.
- Prepare company-wide headcount reporting
Requirements
The ideal applicant should have a minimum of 2 - 4 years of solid compensation analysis experience, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proficient with Excel, Access and Word
- Experience with payroll systems, preferably SAP
- Knowledge of federal, state and local payroll tax laws
- Able to manage complex procedures and prioritize multiple projects
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Attention to detail is essential
- Self-motivated; able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to work with sensitive and confidential information while using appropriate discretion
