The role: Compensation Associate Our Googlers are innovative, take big risks and get things done, and our compensation plans are designed to reward them accordingly. On the leading edge of the compensation field, our team runs cyclical cash and equity programs and takes the notion of "Total Rewards" to new heights. Combining data and feedback from our Googlers with the latest industry research, you make large-scale, data-driven decisions that impact Googlers in a meaningful way. Compensation Associates assist in designing Google's global pay philosophy, strategy, programs and communications. -- This role is suited for compensation professionals with a deep interest in analyzing data and innovative comp design strategy. You must have the ability to juggle multiple tasks, the maturity to handle sensitive information and make sound decisions, and a strong desire to manage details and deliver results. This role will focus on base pay design. Responsibilities: Partner with other Compensation team members and HR Business Partners to solve compensation-related business problems and provide compensation guidance. Develop decision-based models and conduct statistical analyses for base salary Recommend compensation process improvements for effective administration Participate in the research, development and administration of assigned compensation programs and monitor the success of these programs. Manage global salary budget and process Minimum Qualifications: BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, 4 years relevant work experience). Experience working in compensation area in a consulting firm or a corporate function where the incumbent has been involved with rigorous analysis or similar area of work. Preferred Qualifications: Deep interest in analyzing data and the ability to see beyond the numbers to drive sound decision-making. Exposure to one or more of the following: sales compensation, executive compensation, international compensation, short-term incentive program or reward/recognition programs. Strong Excel skills.
