Compensation Specialist III Job in Center Valley 18034, Pennsylvania Us
Center Valley, PA - The Compensation Specialist III will review base and variable pay programs throughout Olympus under limited supervision. EOE M/F/D/V
* Prepare job descriptions and evaluate positions to ensure internal and external equity.
* Participate in research into compensation policies and procedures to maintain and enhance existing programs.
* Review and research market data to evaluate existing variable pay plans with Management to identify areas that may need revision.
* Coordinate the review and revision of sales plans with Sales Support Management in order to arrive at appropriate total pay targets and to determine the proper mix of base salary, commissions, and other pay incentives for the different sales forces throughout Olympus.
* Conduct job analysis of exempt and non-exempt positions and prepare or revise job descriptions.
* Evaluate positions and recommend appropriate salary grade level based on survey data or appropriate internal comparisons. Determine whether a position is exempt or non-exempt using FLSA guidelines.
* Research and recommend revisions to compensation policies and practices.
* Assist Management in developing and conducting presentations on compensation programs.
* Participate in developing communications to explain changes to compensation policies and procedures.
* Participate in salary surveys and analyze the results to ensure employees are competitively compensated. Conduct email, telephone, or written salary surveys as necessary.
* Administer the annual salary, merit, and bonus process through a software program and review salary increase and bonus recommendations for internal equity and budget adherence. Ensure internal consistency.
* Participate in special projects.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.

* A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or equivalent knowledge is required.
* A minimum of 5 years of experience performing job analysis, preparing job descriptions, evaluating positions using market pricing, and job matching methodology, as well as writing and reviewing sales and other variable compensation plans is required.
* Knowledge of appropriate statutes including FLSA, Equal Pay Act, ADA, and FMLA is essential.
* Proficiency in PC software, including Microsoft Excel and Word is necessary.
* Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills are vital.
* Must be able to travel as assigned to branch locations.
