Executive Compensation sits within the wider Compensation, Benefits and Payroll department which in turn sits within the Human Resources function within Credit Suisse.

Executive Compensation team is a global structure with teams in New York and Singapore looking after the Americas and APAC areas respectively. The London team however undertake a number of processes globally and have extensive involvement in the year end discretionary variable incentive award process.

The team is involved in planning, implementation and settlement of all deferred compensation awards. 

Our London based Executive Compensation Team is looking for an Executive Compensation Specialist to join the team to work as a subject matter expect within the areas of deferred compensation planning and administration.

The role encompasses the design, implementation, granted, sourcing, taxing and settling the awards granted under the Credit Suisse Group AG Master Share Plan annually and throughout the year. We currently have around 12,000 employees globally across at least 50 countries who participate in the Share Plan and have both Share based and Deferred Cash based awards.

These awards are settled on either a monthly, quarterly or annual basis and during settlement, interaction with a number of stakeholders will take place such as Deferred Compensation Accounting, Corporate Tax, Employees, Human Resources, Legal, Treasury.

Your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

• Degree Standard essential.

• Preference for either - recently qualified accountant with training in either Big 4, Compensation experience, experience in dealing with data sets.

• Good to excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel.

• Ability to analyse large amounts of data comfortably building in checks and balances.

• Ability to identify risks and mitigate the occurrence

• Ability to develop relationships with internal clients to understand and address their needs.                                                                                                                                                               

• Ability to plan and organise the works so that it is efficent and effective and allows service to be delivered promptly and reliably.

• Proactivness - identify opportunities and develop new ideas that will lead to improvements.

• Flexibility - adapt/change behaviour or plans to better achieve the target/objective at that point in time.

• Ability to understand and anticipate the consequences of decisions taken for other departments/people in both the long and short term.

• Set high targets for both individual and team performance.

• Hold a clear appreciation of strengths and limitations and always seek guidance and advice where appropriate to accomplish tasks and perform the role in an effective and efficient way.

• Play an integral role within the structure and success of the team whilst also being able to work in silo on processes and tasks.

• Take full ownership and responsibility of tasks assigned. 

Your main responsibilities will involve:

Successful candiate within the first year will look to be involved in a number of the following processes:

• Dividend Equivalent Process

• Dual Contractor Process

• Share Settlement Process

• Preparation of calculations on deferred compensation buyouts

• Advice on terminations along with preparation of necessary documentation

• Deferred Compensation Reporting

• Partner Asset Facility Award Administration

• Discretionary Variable Incentive Award - Year End Related processes.
