Competitor Research Analyst recruitment
Role Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of the competitive landscape, including mutual funds and industry trends affecting our business and our competitors
- Initiate and undertake key market / competitor research to support the Global Product team
- Work closely with each of the capability managers and product specialists to provide key inputs to support the product strategy agenda including competitive fund positioning and performance analysis
- Stay abreast of global and regional market and competitors developments in order to provide stakeholders with effective and relevant information which impact our competitive positioning
- Liaise effectively and build relationships with the key fund data providers as well as fund ratings agencies with respect to positioning of our product set
- Provide inputs into product modifications in order to enhance our competitiveness
- Provide inputs for new product launches such as a competitor pricing and positioning
Background Experience
• A strong understanding of the asset management industry and in particular mutual funds
• Strong analytical and research skills combined with attention to detail
• Knowledge of working with Bloomberg, Morningstar, Lipper and/or other industry tools
• Strong technical understanding of investment strategies e.g. investment processes
• IMC Holder, ideally studying towards the CFA
• Strong communication skills with the gravitas to deal with key stakeholders across the business
