Job Description:
The overall function is to work closely with the Head of Compliance and Internal Controls to provide support in all risk and compliance related matters.

Specific responsibilities include:
As a Compliance and Internal Controls Officer, you are required to conduct training, compliance reviews and field checks on compliance checklists. You will provide advisory and consultation service to other departments on any compliance issues, conduct compliance committee meetings and update the compliance manual and compliance risk management policy. You will handle gift and entertainment forms, and monitor arms length rule report. You will also be performing administrative duties: checking monthly compliance checklists submissions, new staff briefing, banking secrecy briefing to Head Office visitors of branch, disseminate information from ABS/MAS to relevant departments, check e-Gazette, MAS website, bankruptcy/winding up lists, handle CI's compliance checklist, monitoring of regulatory returns, incoming/outgoing MAS correspondence, and term-end reporting to Head Office.

Requirements
The successful Compliance and Internal Controls Officer will have 2 to 3 years of relevant compliance experience. You will have the ability to communicate and speak well, comfortable to conduct training, and have good interpersonal skills. You will have relevant experience working in a bank or familiar with MAS/ SFA/ FAA.
